About the package
This package is designed to equip you with the techniques needed to paint frosty trees in the winter mist. In class 2 you will be taught how to draw and paint trees, how to represent twigs, and in consecutive classes you'll be taught how to create layers of colours to build up your scene, these classes will be at your pace, so if there is any time left, I will teach you how to begin to paint another winter scene with trees.
For this package you get:
5 Powhow Credits for Watercolours for absolute beginners.
I have had a long career as an artist and illustrator, graduating from Leeds polytechnic in 1981 with a BA honours degree in graphic design, and I have worked in publishing and advertising, and latterly as an artist, where I have won many regional and national awards for my watercolours.
I have also been teaching adult leisure classes for 9 years in watercolour and drawing, expanding into video tutorials and painting holidays.
My courses are very popular, and many learners come to my classes saying they had never been taught the way I teach, with all the techniques required for a particular painting practiced before embarking on the finished painting, and they are so relieved that it wasn't their fault they didn't get it right before, it's just that they were never shown how to do it properly.
It is my intention that you will not be left wondering how you are going to perform the same painting you have just seen demonstrated, without any clue about how to hold the brush, how much water or pigment to use, and how to avoid the same mistakes from happening repeatedly.
A favourite practice of mine is to show how to do it wrong, so the learner can recognise it, and avoid it, this usually results in giggles of recognition!
I will also send you emails containing any preparation you will need for a class, and what to practice for the next lesson.
Above all, these classes will be about you, whatever your level, whether you haven't painted since school, or you have dabbled, but have never got over a particular stumbling block, or you are in intermediate who just needs more practice, in a friendly and supportive environment.
Whatever your level, I look forwards to meeting you.
