What are the transaction fees on Powhow?
Powhow charges a transaction fee of 5 to 15% on the sale of each class or package. Transaction fees are calculated based upon which Powhow Studio Subscription Plan you choose.

Do I need to enter my credit card details to sign up?
In order to offer the highest level of customer service to our students, all instructors must have a valid credit card on file to confirm your identity and process refunds. Before you can start teaching and marketing your classes, you will need to pick a plan and enter your credit card details. Your credit card will not be charged until your 14 day trial expires. You may cancel your account anytime before then and you will not be charged.

How long are your contracts?
Powhow plans are month to month unless you sign up for an annual plan.
How do payments work on Powhow?
When your clients purchase a class from you on Powhow, Powhow will charge their credit card or PayPal account directly. At the beginning of each month, Powhow will send you a statement summarizing all of your sales minus transaction fees for the previous month with the balance paid to you by the 15th of the month. When you sign up for a Powhow Studio Subscription Plan, you will have the option to choose to be paid by check or PayPal.
What are the minimum Internet speed requirements?
In order to teach on Powhow you must have a high speed Internet connection with a minimum download speed of 5 Mbps, upload of 2 Mbps, and ping of less than 20 ms. What are the minimum technical requirements?
- A desktop computer or laptop with 1.6GHz CPU and 1 GB of RAM. Tablets and smart phones are currently not supported.

I already teach classes using Skype. How is Powhow different?
Skype is great tool for video conferencing with friends and family. Many of our instructors had been using Skype to teach their classes before switching to Powhow. The reason why they switch to Powhow is because we provide much more than video conferencing software. Using Powhow, you can create a class schedule, promote and market your classes, accept payments via credit card and PayPal, create promotion codes and discounts, and run sales and retention reports about your students.
Moreover, unlike Skype, our video conferencing software is optimized for the classroom environment. The Powhow Classroom allows you to teach large group classes with 10 or more people whereas the quality on Skype degrades with group sizes of more than 3.
